Apply for an export certificate

Use this service to apply for a:

  • Certificate of Free Sale

    Products which meet UK standards that fall under Department for Business and Trade regulation.

  • Certificate of Manufacture

    Pesticides that are solely for use in overseas markets and will not be placed on the UK market.

  • Certificate of Good Manufacturing Practice

    Cosmetic products which meet UK good manufacturing practice standards. For use in China only.

Before you start

GOV.UK One Login

You will be taken to GOV.UK One Login. Use your company email address to sign into GOV.UK One Login or create a new account.

Create an access request

Before you can apply for an export certificate, you need to create an access request and provide some basic information.

You will need to tell us:

  • your details
  • which certificate you need
  • company details
  • the type of products you want to export
  • where you want to export products
